01 Context
Numbers nobody reads
Nova arrived with eleven dashboards and one problem: people opened them, squinted, and left. The data was rich; the reading of it was not.

I work at the seam between design and code — shaping interfaces that carry weight, systems that survive contact with reality, and interactions that feel like they were always there.

01 Context
Nova arrived with eleven dashboards and one problem: people opened them, squinted, and left. The data was rich; the reading of it was not.
02 Problem
Analysts needed density. Everyone else needed a story. One interface had to carry both without becoming a compromise.
03 Direction
We treated each screen like a spread: a headline number, a supporting line, then the detail — paced instead of dumped.
04 System
A typographic scale for figures, three chart primitives, and motion rules that make comparison feel physical rather than decorative.
05 Result
Time-to-first-insight dropped by 41%. Weekly return visits doubled in the first quarter after launch.

01 Environment
Instead of a catalogue, Forma opens inside a space — light, material, proportion — and lets the products emerge from it.
02 Product
Each piece is photographed in situ and scaled truthfully, so a chair reads as a chair, not a thumbnail.
03 Interface
Commerce lives at the edges: a hairline price, a persistent bag, no banners competing with the room.
04 Interaction
Drag to re-light the scene, scroll to move through rooms. Every gesture teaches something about the object.

An interactive identity system for a cultural platform.
01 Idea
Luma's mark is a set of rules, not a file: letterforms stretch with the programme they announce.
02 System
One serif, five widths, two rhythms. Posters, screens and signage all inherit the same grid.
03 Motion
Titles arrive by mask instead of fade — the identity reads as a curtain rising, never as a transition effect.
01
Read the business, the constraint and the person who has to live with the result.
02
Write the problem in one sentence. If it takes two, it isn't defined yet.
03
Draw badly and quickly. Volume beats precision at this stage.
04
Design in the browser — motion, weight and edge cases are not decisions for later.
05
Remove. Then remove again. What remains should feel inevitable.

Atelier Digital
Leading a six-person practice across identity, product and interaction.
Owned the data experience end to end, from type scale to shipped front-end.
Brand systems for cultural clients, plus my first proper motion work.

“Arin has the rare habit of asking the question everyone avoided in the kickoff, then answering it with something you can click.”
Letterforms that lean toward the pointer.
